The Sando Club started with one obsession: to create the best sandwich you’ve ever had.
Nico’s sando dream began in San Luis Obispo, while he was working restaurant jobs to get through college. He started making sandos for friends and family — no recipes, just trial, lots of failures, and a stubborn refusal to serve anything less than perfect. People loved them.
Living across California, Nico kept noticing the same problems… Giant sandwich chains were everywhere — built for scale and speed, but lacking flavor and soul. Hole-in-the-wall delis represent authenticity and community, but are nearly impossible to find… You can have convenience, or you can have crafted excellence. Never both.
So in 2026, Nico and his wife, Taylor, founded The Sando Club in Benicia, California. The Sando Club unites the consistency and presence of a national chain, with the quality and personality of your local deli. Because every city in America deserves a neighborhood deli.
The Sando Club represents unique West Coast flavors, fanatic passion, and a sense of neighborly belonging. We’re building a community that’s hungry for amazing food and genuine connection.
That’s the West Coast Way.
Today, we’re slinging sandos at local farmers markets and catering events. Tomorrow, we’re coming to a neighborhood near you.
